Mike Thompson(2-1) whitewashed Dominican while the North Dallas Fire Ants
managed just one run in a 10 inning day game at the ballpark.
Neither team managed to score in the first nine innings. North Dallas came
out the victor in the 10th inning. Juan Pierre banged out a single. Pierre
was safe on a stolen base. North Dallas continued their aggressive style
with another stolen base. Michael Young stepped in and he reached on an
error making North Dallas the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful. Dominican had 10 hits in the game while North Dallas had 6, but
North Dallas had the more timely hits.
Jason Isringhausen(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck
loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 1/3 innings of work.
